My last gig (job) as a professional Saxophone Player/Vocalist was on this live television show in October of 1978.

It was scheduled in the 9 am morning slot, the one before Regis & Kathy Lee were on.

John & Marilyn more recently

The show was hosted by long time Detroit newsman John Kelly and his Weather Girl Wife Marilyn Turner.

Michigan's ELVIS Kim Leonard

I was playing in a group backing up an ELVIS impersonator Kim Leonard.

We played live on that show.

Joan Rivers talks with Kermit

On that show with me was Joan Rivers.

Channel 7 Action News Set

Where we met.

The channel 7 Action News set was our dressing room.

I was there in my underwear when Joan Rivers and her assistant walked in.

I thought, "what is a lady doing in here?"

The guys said that is the person that is on with us, Joan Rivers.

I thought that I would have to introduce myself.

So I did.

She moved her bagel from her right hand to her left and shook my hand and said Hi.

Very polite.
